Isobel Varley is the most senior tattooed woman in the world according to The Guinness Book of World Records. Isobel proves that you can be beautiful, sexy, and very tattooed even as a retiree.
Isobel lives in a small town north of London where she grew up but travels to tattoo conventions around the world. Often, her trip is paid for by convention organizers and in return she'll hand out the tattoo competition trophies, pose for TV cameras, and boost the energy levels of the shows with her enormous laugh--it truly is the best laugh ever heard. She also gives an added boost by flashing her 16 genital piercings on stage and showing off her erotic tattoos, which include a frog ejaculating little tadpoles.
Isobel began her tattoo art collection at the age of 49 after visiting her first tattoo convention in 1986 and being amazed by the artistry and the friendliness of the people. She immediately made an appointment with Bill Cooke for a small bird on her shoulder. By 2000, she had a full bodysuit with work from some of the top artists in the world including Filip Leu, Hori Hiro, Mo'o, Spider Webb, Brent of Dunstable, among so many others, and costing almost $40,000 USD.
She's also a darling of the daytime talk show circuit on both sides of the Atlantic.
