The '''labret stud''' is a type of jewelry designed to be worn in smaller [[gauge]] labrets ([[scalpelled labret]]s tend to use labret [[plug]]s), and is far more common than the other type of jewelry for this piercing, [[fishtail labret]]s. It is made up of a straight shaft attached to (or a machined part of) a flat disc backing which sits on the inside of the labret.  A bead (a round bead, a labret spike, or other bead) can be attached on the other end of the shaft.

This jewelry is also worn in many other piercings, most commonly [[inner conch piercing]]s, as well as [[handweb piercing]]s and sometimes even [[apadravya]]s and others. It is not, however, appropriate for [[transdermal implant]]s which uses a similar but functionally different design for its jewelry.
