Lingual Hemorrhage

While the tongue is highly vascularized (served by the deep lingual artery/vein) and will bleed during the tongue splitting procedure and sometimes from tongue piercing, severe and uncontrollable bleeding is rare. If it does happen though, you need to seek immediate medical attention.
