Ted Polhemus

Ted Polhemus is an American social anthropologist who lives and works in Britain. He has authored a number of books on fashion, human adornment and body modification. In the body modification community, he is best known for The Customized Body, the book he co-authored with Housk Randall on body modification. He also wrote a number of articles for Body Art Magazine.
