La Belle Irene

La Belle Irene debuted as a tattooed lady in London in 1890. Irene was tattooed by Samuel O'Reilly and Charles Wagner. In her onstage presentation she used a variation of Nora Hildebrandt's story, as well as claiming to have been tattooed as protection against the savages in Texas.
