Unicycle Riding
Mike owns 3 unicycles: a 20" Bedford Freestyle, a 29" Bedford Cruiser and a 5' Torker giraffe. He's been riding since October 2005, after being introduced to it by Philip Barbosa in La Paz, Mexico.
D&D, Role Playing Games & Other Medieval Geekery
For over ten years, Mike has been a D&D geek (in addition to the other types of geek that he can attributed to). Getting a late start in college, Mike cut his teeth on AD&D and never looked back. While the majority of gaming current centers around version 3.5 of D&D, Mike has been exposed to and played quite a number of systems and genres. For a while, he could be found playing Magic: the Gathering as well. And while he currently doesn't play any longer, he still owns thousands of M:tG cards.
The closest "arts & craft" hobby that Mike has would be the weaving of chainmaille. Done purely for personal satisfaction and not tedious period recreation, Mike is versed in many of the techniques used in medieval armor reproduction and construction.
