Spider Web Tattoo
From BMEzine Encyclopedia
Spider web tattoos are old school, typically, jailhouse tattoos. Their meaning is widely varied but often the association with these tattoos is to the Aryan Brotherhood, a racist organization. It is typically located on the elbow of the wearer.
One belief behind the spider web tattoo design is that for every year spent in prison the wearer would add another outer rung.
If you see one these days, don't assume it means "killed a dude in prison" or anything like that. It has simply become a part of common tattoo inonograph.
